Hesh It is indeed, I've used a Parabolic Arrangement on 4, 2 I have completed and 2 I'm just finishing up. This one is very responsive, I built it pretty light and even before the strings were on it vibrated along to the music in my workshop. What I've found so far with parabolic vs scalloped (at least the way I've executed them) is I gain speed of response with the Parabolic, but lose a bit of headroom. I'm getting the same nice balanced tone with both. DaveAndy The Finish on this one is a Danish Oil. |

Coach Russ, you're just amazing! Love this one also. She's really pretty, i just love that bridge and it inspired me something that i will do on my present build, stay tuned for how it will come out!

Gorgeous guitar Russel! I really like that Mad Rose... And that rosette is very nice as well. How is she bound? Is that walnut (rosette and binding)? I'm also very fond of the way the finger board protrudes over the soundhole... I just might have to stea... I mean, borrow that one from you... |

Well Russell, you've done it again! Firmly up to the standard I've come to expect of you. I just love the clean elegance of your work and your subtle wood combinations, you really are right up there with the best of them now. I know it will sound great they always do. You must be building up a very good happy customer base, the best advertising you can get. Which of Madinter's Mad rose grades was that? I'm just about to thickness some of theirs. Thank Guys I appreciatte the comments On the finishing schedule it varies a bit depending on the wood, for my oil finishes I like to use Rustins Danish Oil (which in reality is a wiping vanish as it builds on the surface) On Spruce and some other woods like Walnut I seal with a wash coat of shellac first as the oil tends to penerate too deeply, on rosewoods like this one I use a straight oil finish, the first coat is thinned 50/50 with white spirit, I find this gives a nice even base coat, then 3 coats of oil applied by wiping on with a cloth and off with clean cloth with the grain, the final coat I apply using 1200grit wet and dry paper with the grain, and remove any excess with a cloth, I leave at least 5 Hours between coats, on rosewood longer. Alain The binding and Rosette are Walnut. Colin I'm trying  another 30 or so years and I'll get there I hope.
It is a Master Grade Set from Madinter, the one I'm french Polishing at the moment is one of their first grade ones, much plainer but beautiful in it's own way. I've been trying to get a bill out of Andy for 2 Months for some Satin Wood, and other bits. I owe him money for them but he hasn't told me the price yet
